International activity and cooperation

Institute of International Business and Law has extensive international activity. There are several directions – internships, study visits for undergraduates, masters, and professors, as well as projects in the framework of international cooperation agreements. The Institute cooperates with the following international organizations: World Intellectual Property Organization, World Customs Organization, and UN Economic Commission for Europe. These organizations are committed partners in Institute’s projects and host student’s internships. Internships are organized annually and in accordance with the schedule and regulations of the partner organizations. Partnerships with foreign universities are also part of the Institute's activities on adhering education to international quality standards, as well as exchanging unique experiences, methods and techniques of the educational process for educational expansion. This is achieved through joint educational programs and student exchange who enroll in specialist and master degree programs. During the visits, representatives of international organizations give presentations and talk about the work the organization and its departments do.

Cooperation with WCO

In 2014, a Memorandum on cooperation between the Institute and the WCO was signed after many years of cooperation. Its purpose being preparation of highly qualified international specialists. Undergraduates, Postgraduates, and Professors at the Institute participate in the events organized by both organizations.

Cooperation with WIPO

The official website of World Intellectual Property organization states, “WIPO is the global forum for intellectual property services, policy, information and cooperation.” Cooperation with WIPO includes study visits in Geneva. Students with high academic achievements and sufficient language skills have an opportunity to learn about WIPO in detail at specially organized seminars for our students.

Cooperation with UNECE

Since 2012, the Institute has been enthusiastically cooperating with the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and has been an annual participant in the meetings of the Committee on Trade and working groups es tablished under other committees. Every year, the best students of the Institute have a unique opportunity to visit and to learn about one of the most important international organizations.
